I had a lovely weekend camping up at Lake Sonoma. It was surprisingly hot up there, when we left San Francisco is was 52 degrees (unacceptable). It was also a 2 mile hike to our campground, which was awesome because we had the site to ourselves, but it was a bit of a trek; steep hills carrying all our gear, food, water and booze.

On the way back we stopped at Russian River and played in the water.

Limited Edition Prints + Tiny Frames

I'm doing a limited edition run of 10 of my piece, "Hold." Printed on Canson watercolor paper, each one is signed, numbered and dated. Now available in my shop!

And I just have to show you this adorable little frame I got yesterday!

 Naturally I drew a little silhouette profile, oval frames are perfect for that. And a bike! I've already done a boat, maybe I'll do a train next. I've obviously got modes of transport on my mind, time to travel!
Speaking of travel, I'm going camping this weekend up in Lake Sonoma. We're staying at a place called Bummer's peak. (What a name!) I'm super excited and am going to take 34902834 pictures so I can show you how beautiful Northern California is. And my darling friend Alicia is driving up from LA for the weekend to come with us! I will miss my little kittenface though. He's getting so much bigger already! And is being quite maniacal these days, I must say.


His latest hobby is wrapping around my arm and attacking my fingers. We affectionately call him "Needles" because of this. It actually kind of hurts. Oh, but he's so fluffy and adorable! Okay, okay, I'm done obsessing (for the moment).

upcoming shows + urban outfitters prints

Oh dear, has it really been a week since I made a post? I've been pretty busy with getting all my pieces organized for the three upcoming group shows I'm a part of:

•   July 1st @ Gallery Heist, "We Haven't Felt This Way in Years"

•   July 1st @ Wonderland Gallery & Boutique (They're a brand new spot in my neighborhood, super excited for this one. )

•  July 8th @ Artillery AG

I'm also super excited to start a new series of oil paintings for an upcoming group show over at Gallery Hijinks, a brand new spot my friend Jillian opened. She curated my solo show last year over at Gallery 6, and now she opened up her own space, and it's like a block from my house! Anyway, can't wait to start painting, I've been doing nothing but drawings for the past few months, it'll be a nice change of pace. I'll be painting a series of tattooed ladies, each with a different theme, all on wood.

In other news, Urban Outfitters picked up two more pieces of mine to sell in their online print shop.

Oh, and my kitten has turned in to a maniac. An adorable maniac.

Flower Boat

Boat!

Kitten paws! He's taken a liking to sleeping on laptops, and sometimes my artwork. The other day we come home and lil Finnegan had typed a message to my friend and Neil Young was playing on iTunes. What a keeper.

Yesterday we had fun being mermaids. I ♥ heated pools.

I think we look like vampire mermaids in this one. (runny eye makeup)

We also took a roll of underwater film, cant wait to see them!

Sailboat + upcoming show

This was a little birthday present for Lizzy, she loves all things sailboats. And hopefully she doesn't get sick of me giving her art all the time.

New kitten!

KITTEN!

I am so in love with this little ball of fluff, it's ridiculous. Little Sebastian is such a snuggle bunny that we didn't get any sleep last night. He kept curling up by our heads and purring really loudly. What a sweetheart! I didn't mind being kept up by him, but when I start going insane from lack of sleep, I may mind.
